Kind of like reading that newspaper you found under your bed after five months

NEWS for 5-1-05:
Kind of late notice, but you can see The Lugnuts at Inglemoor High School's talent show this Friday, May 6. We'll be playing one featured song, and in addition, we get to open and close the show by playing songs as people are entering and leaving. It'll cost you a few bucks to get in, but it all goes back to the school, so it's for a good cause. And it'll be worth it, with all the talented people performing. It all starts at the Inglemoor High gym at 7. Hope to see you there.

NEWS for 4-16-05:
Welcome to The Lugnuts' website. If you're an old friend, you'll notice a lot of things are new and updated here on the site. A lot has gone on with us too: since the last update, we've played two concerts, witnessed the breakup of one of our favorite rock bands, and finished and distributed our CD to friends and indifferent acquaintances alike.

So check out the site for a while; there's new pictures, actual music on the music page, and a little poll you can respond to if you're bored. We also have a soundclick website now, you can find that at http://www.soundclick.com/thelugnuts. And if you point your web-enabled mobile phone to http://tagtag.com/theslothkingdom, you can download some Lugnuts ringtones that Dan made.

Lately we've been working on some new material, and we're looking to have a show sometime soon. Check back here every once in a while for information on that, and hopefully the pictures from our last two concerts as well.

NEWS for 3-3-05:
It's been a long couple of weeks, but our CD is completely finished. It has 8 songs, and we're all pretty proud of it. We'll be giving them out at the concert on Saturday, so now you have one more reason to go. Go to the Kirkland Teen Center's website if you need directions, it's at http://www.ktub.org. They even have our name spelled right now. Hopefully we'll see you all on Saturday.

NEWS for 2-20-05:
Mark your calendars: our next show will be on March 5th at the Kirkland Teen Union Building at 5 PM. We're excited to have the opportunity to play here, so come on out because it should be pretty good. We're playing with our old friends Schwana, as well as Erik Fenner, Venerial Saint, and others. The bad news is that we have to charge everyone $3 to get in, but to make up for it we'll be recording all week to have our CD done in time for the concert. Check out http://www.ktub.org for directions and an unfortunate misspelling of our band name.

NEWS for 1-16-05:
If you didn't hear already, the concert went great, and we're all looking forward to a rocking 2005. It's been a while since the last update, so to make up for it, all of the pages have new stuff, and there's pictures of the concert plus a bunch of new "random pictures".

NEWS for 12-13-04:
Well, it's finally official. The concert at Dan's house is set for December 20th. So far, we've got Schwana and most of The Mantekillaz on board to perform. The fun will start at 1 PM or so. Unfortunately, the CD won't be done in time for the concert, but keep an eye out for it early next year. Hope to see you all next Monday.

NEWS for 12-03-04:
November has come and gone, and we're pleased to say that the CD is coming along. We have Dan and Adam's tracks pretty much done, and we're looking to wrap things up in the next couple weeks. In other news, we'll be putting on a very special holiday concert at Dan's house this winter. The tentative date is Wednesday, December 22, but that's subject to change. With any luck, we'll have our CD done by then. Check back here for more on that later. Until then, check out the new journal page.

NEWS for 11-04-04:
We have good news and bad news for you. The bad news is we won't be playing in the concert on the 13th, because Darek is a busy man and has something else to do. The good news is our friend Kevin Quindt has offered to record our very first CD, which we're going to begin work on this weekend. Check back here for more on that.

NEWS for 10-14-04:
The show's been moved to November 13, because Mantekillaz lead vocalist Morgan will be in Minnesota on the 6th. Other than that, everything's the same. Head over to http://themantekillaz.tripod.com if you want to see the cool flyer or know where the party's at on the 13th. See you all there, hopefully.

NEWS for 10-12-04:
Good news, Lugnuts fans! Our friends The Mantekillaz are having a garage concert of their own on November 6th, and they've invited us to play with them, along with the talented and beautiful Slow Ride and the up-and-coming emo sensations Teardrops On My Window. Look for the show to start sometime around 7 at Megan's garage. And to tide you over until the concert, the DVD of the show at Dan's house that started it all has just been released. Thanks to our friend Igor for making it, The Lugnuts give it two thumbs up. Hope to see you all on the 6th.

NEWS for 10-01-04:
YMCA Band night was loads of fun last Saturday, thanks to everyone who came out to watch. We had a great time playing, and Dance, Shotty, and Dolls Of A Different Device blew us away with their musical talent. Huge thanks to Scott Lowman for stepping in for James on one day's notice and learning all our songs. It was also our first show playing for people we didn't know, which was kind of cool. All in all, we played some music, made some friends, and generally had a good time. Check out the pictures page for some new ones from the show.

NEWS for 9-24-04:
Update for the show tomorrow: In addition to Dolls Of A Different Device and Dance, Shotty will be joining us for this momumental event. Ryan can't play for us because of another engagement, but we're fortunate enough to have the talent of Scott Lowman on bass guitar in James' stead. Needless to say, we're totally pumped for this show. Hope to see all of you there!

NEWS for 9-19-04:
The show on the 25th is still a go, and the lineup is set; we'll be playing with Dolls Of A Different Device and Dance. Unfortunately, we'll be without the talent and charm of James. With any luck, our friend Ryan Porter can fill his enormous shoes on Saturday. More bad news: it'll cost you $4 to get in to the show, or $3 if you happen to be a member of the YMCA. But who knows, with the new songs we've been working on lately, it just might be worth it. Maybe.

NEWS for 9-07-04:
In case this is your primary source of Lugnut information, the August 27th show was nothing short of awesome. Thanks to everyone who came out and watched us despite some bad weather. Check out the pictures page for some high quality photography. If you missed the fun, or just can't get enough of The Lugnuts, we're playing at the Northshore YMCA band night on Saturday, September 25th at 7 PM. Should be fun.

NEWS for 8-26-04:
Tomorrow is the big show, and needless to say, we are excited. The fun will start at Dan's house at 12:30 or so. See you there!

NEWS for 8-21-04:
Well, today was supposed to be the day of our show, but seeing as James is in California, we've rescheduled it for Friday, the 27th of August. It should start in the afternoon sometime, check back here this week for more.
